I had an idea to put a comedic twist on this past week’s topic. Sometimes as Christians we fall. Unfortunately those are tough moments where the enemy takes advantage to attack our minds and tell us that God doesn’t love us, that there’s no more forgiveness for us, etc. But let me tell you that God does forgive you because He loves you.
I remember a few years back when I was at iHop with some friends. I was going back to my seat when I accidently slipped by the cash register where the floor was wet. I got up immediately and made my way back to my seat while hearing some people laugh next to me. When I sat down my friend was chuckling but he told me something that always stuck to me. What if I had stayed down? How funny would that have looked? And that’s what happens in our spiritual life sometimes. We fall but instead of getting back up immediately we decide we to stay down. It doesn’t make sense. Jesus Christ already paid the price for you and me. “My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:” – 1 John 2:1. Jesus is our advocate and God wants us to get back up and keep walking. The Bible says, “But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” – Matthew 24:13.
So if you fall or you fell, get back up! Keep walking! God has amazing plans for your life!
