God’s love for us is not an earthly love
Good morning! I hope you’re doing well. It’s been about a week now since my last blog post. I wanted to take this moment to think out loud. I’ll call it “Wednesday Morning Thoughts.” God is good. I think that through every circumstance that we go through God continues to be good. Sometimes we don’t realize how His love works. We’re so used to an earthly demonstration of love that we think that God’s love works the same way. In reality God’s love goes way beyond that. If only we could realize just how much God loves us I think we’d be satisfied with our lives.
Bought with a price
God paid a price for your life and mine. He didn’t purchase us with money; He didn’t pay $1,000.00, He didn’t pay $10,000.00, He didn’t pay $1 million. God paid for our lives with His own life. Can we just sit back and reflect on that for a moment? God shed His own blood for your life and mine because He loves us. Would any one literally give their life for someone? What about giving your life for someone that hurts you and that caused you harm? Personally, I don’t think I’d do it. It’s easy to say yes, but would we really give our lives for our enemies?
Sometimes we feel like people won’t love us for who we truly are and because of this we put on a mask. We’re fearful that if that person knew who we truly were they’d turn their backs on us. But even if that was the case, God still loves us regardless of our true selves. We all have imperfections and character traits that we may not like. But God still loves us. God is like that one person that sits with the outcast when every one else stays away from them. So if you feel like you’re an outcast God loves you and He wants to be in your life.
God’s love transforms us
God’s love is greater than we could ever imagine. So if you’re feeling like you’re unworthy of love, you’ve sinned, or you feel like an outcast, let me tell you that God loves you. And because He loves you that means He also won’t leave you in the same condition He found you in. The closer we get to God and the more we spend time with Him the more we’ll become more like Him. God transforms lives and there’s nothing impossible for Him. Let’s continue to seek God because if we’re alive that mean’s there’s still hope and God’s desire is for no one to perish but to come to repentance.
