Declare a word. The Bible says that God’s word doesn’t come back void. God’s word transforms lives and if you’re a Christian you’re living proof! People don’t change people only God can do that. That’s why it’s important for us to declare a word of life over our loved ones and circumstances. Life and death is in the power of the tongue. Today, won’t you decide to speak life instead of death?
Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. – Proverbs 18:21
A word of encouragement to someone can go a long way. When someone is feeling down, won’t you encourage them with a word of hope and comfort? Instead of bringing them down we can uplift someone by simply showing them the love of Christ. God has been good to us. His mercy has truly been great! Remember how many times we’ve disobeyed God and instead of leaving us to suffer dire consequences, He’s patient and loving towards us. When we feel ashamed and judged by others, God embraces us with love and never pushes us away. We should make an effort to love others the same way.
Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do. – 1 Thessalonians 5:11
The more we walk with Christ and take time to acknowledge His love toward us, the more we’ll be inclined to demonstrate the same love to others. The same love we receive from God is the same love that someone desperately wants. Encouraging someone with a word will go a long way. Someone’s bad day can take a positive turn if you give them an encouraging word. By doing this we’re giving them a reflection of God’s love.
