What’s up! Here’s the third installment of our Revolution TV (Revolución TV) show! Again, it’s in Spanish but I hope that my Spanish speakers enjoy it. We talked about time and how our time is valuable. It’s not something you can buy, so that’s why it’s important we use it wisely. Our team from left to right on the posted video is; Erika Patiño, Lynnette Estrada, Melisa Casanova, Fernando Contreras, Cristian Olvera, and me (Gilberto Torres Jr.)!
One thing that came to mind when it comes to investing our time in God, was the reality of how God invests His time in us! God invested His time in creating us and writing plans for our lives. God invested time in us when He came down to save us more than two thousand years ago. God invests time in us every day! Throughout our day God is investing His time in us, making sure we have clothes, food, and shelter, and much more! Some of us may have more or less than our neighbor, but we’re still alive!
I thought about this and thought, “Wow. God is investing His time in us on a daily basis.” God didn’t stop at saving us, He continues to invest time in us throughout our Christian walk. Sometimes we don’t invest even an hour in God. I thought that was pretty sad.
But there’s hope! You and I can change how we manage our time, today. The most important person we can invest our time in is God. I encourage you to seek Him more. I’m going to do it because I need, and I know that you need God to. We’re human! We all have need of God. The Bible says in Matthew 6:33 to God first and His righteousness and everything else will be added unto us.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. – Matthew 6:33
Investing time in God is number one. After that we should make an effort to invest our time in things that help us become better people. It’s not bad to invest time in things you like like entertainment, social media, hobbies, etc. But I think it’s important we start paying closer attention to things that will help us achieve our dreams and goals. Good relationships are a must and going to a church that preaches truth and helps you grow is also important. Above all remember that God loves you and it’s not about religion, it’s about having a relationship with your Creator.
