Good afternoon! I hope you’re having a great day. So a few days ago a problem arose and my natural instinct was to worry. I started to worry but then I remembered that God is on my side and that faith is believing in the unseen. So I started to declare a word of victory knowing that God already had my solution in His hands. I verbally invited him into the situation because when God is involved in a situation things go according to His will.
God is always going to be a gentleman unlike the devil. If you open the door for the devil even a bit, he’ll burst through it without any permission. But God is different. The Bible says that He’s at he door of your heart. Knocking and seeking your invitation to come inside.
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. – Revelation 3:20
God wants to help us in every situation we encounter. We, as His children, need His help. The good news is that God wants to help us and it’s never too late to invite Him in. It doesn’t matter where you are, it could be church, at home, in school, or wherever, but if you cry out to God with a sincere heart He’ll hear you.
Jesus told His disciples one day that without Him they can do nothing. We could be strong men and women with a college degree, a thriving business, a large bank account, but without Christ we can’t do anything. But as I mentioned before, the good news is that God wants to be in our lives. That’s why it’s important that you don’t believe those thoughts that want to tell you something different.
The devil wants to make you and me believe that God doesn’t want to help us. Like a whisper in our ear, thoughts of despair and worry begin to settle in. The devil hasn’t changed much since the days of Adam and Eve in the garden. Just like he managed to deceive God’s first humans, today he continues to deceive many of God’s people. This includes unbelievers and believers alike. The devil’s ministry consists in killing, stealing, and destroying.
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. – John 10:10
Whenever problems arise our natural reaction may be to worry. But we don’t have to feel like there is no hope, because there is. Our hope, our solution is always in Christ. There is no other solution outside of Him. The devil wants to make you believe that there is no hope, but the Bible tells us that while there’s breath in our lungs, there is hope.
If you’re facing a difficult situation today that looks too big to tackle on your own, come to God. His arms are wide open to receive you. Like a good father, God is anxiously awaiting the opportunity to help His creation. If you’re already a child of God you have access to Him through Jesus. If you’re not, well there’s good news. When Jesus shed His blood on the cross to forgive our sins and provide a path of salvation, it wasn’t for a select few. The free gift of salvation is available to anyone who wants to embrace it. All you have to do is receive it. Like a gift of high value that is being given to you freely, it’s yours to embrace.
