I was at church yesterday and the preaching was amazing. The Pastor was preaching about conquering our giants and how the first giant we have to conquer is the one inside of us. That giant that tells us that we can’t do it. The giant of fear, laziness, etc. We have to conquer that giant first before we can conquer other giants. It was awesome preaching and it brought comfort to my life. It reminded me that God is with me and that I’m not facing my problems alone. God is helping me face them.
I think that was a big reminder. Personally, I was falling into this erroneous way of thinking. I felt good at church and when I took time with God, everything was great. I felt joyful and at peace. But whenever I turned to my problems, I felt alone and vulnerable. I felt small before my problems. But yesterday’s preaching reminded me that God is with me and that my problems are His problems. This, of course, applies to you as well. If you’re a believer in Christ and have been born again, you too have the assurance that God is with you.
I’ve posted the preaching below so you can hear it yourself. It brought a lot of comfort, encouragement, hope, and strength to my life. God is good and His mercy truly is everlasting. As children of God we have the benefit of having a good Father. God is merciful, forgiving, patient, gracious, compassionate, and loving. Our God is truly one a kind. Remember that giants might be big, but our God is greater.
