Happy New Year boxing fans! It’s been quite the year. 2019 has been full of ups and downs. I’m sure you’ve had your fair share of ups and downs. I hope, however, that you’re ending it in good fashion. If you’re not, then I just want to remind you that there’s plenty to be grateful for. There’s plenty of reasons to rejoice. God is good and His mercy is everlasting. Personally, 2019 has been a difficult year. But I’m grateful because God has been faithful.
I remember reading Jesus’ words in the Bible several years ago. So many promises. So many words of comfort and strength. Words that gave me peace and joy. It hasn’t been easy. Years later I find myself looking back at years of joy and sadness. But, through it all, God has been faithful. And that’s the point I want to get across. God has been faithful.
Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it. – 1 Thessalonians 5:24
Regardless of how you’re finishing your 2019, remember that God has been faithful. You may have lost some people down the road. You may have lost belongings throughout the year. But one thing is for certain, and that is that God is good and His mercy is everlasting. God’s word hasn’t changed like so many things have. He continues to love us with an everlasting love.
2020 will be a year of victory. I believe that it will be a year in which we will see His glory in the land of the living. It’s His word, His promise, not mine. We have to continue to have faith believing that Him who promised is faithful. I wanted to be brief and simply give you and me a reminder. God is not done and the best is yet to come. Remember, that God will perfect the good work He has started in you.
Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: – Philippians 1:6
