What’s going on readers? I hope you had a great weekend. I just wanted to take a moment to share my thoughts on this day. You know everything has been so chaotic with the COVID-19 outbreak and it was sad seeing the streets nearly empty today. But in the midst of this chaos, I’m thankful because God is still good. He reminded me today that His plans are better than my plans.
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. – Jeremiah 29:11
I went to church today and of course we’ve been streaming it live. You can actually view the preaching on Facebook by clicking here or on the church website. I hope you take a moment to hear the word God brought to our lives today. It was a word of hope, strength, and encouragement. God is still working. Even though our eyes are seeing chaos, fear, and sadness, the Bible calls us to have faith. God is in control.
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. – Hebrews 11:6
It was a good Sunday to say the least. God’s word never comes back empty. Today it injected me with more faith and conviction in who God is. It strengthened me and gave me hope. I want to remind you that God is good. He loves you and He wants all of us to have faith in these times. There’s so much uncertainty in today’s times, but we have to remain optimistic.
The current crisis offers little clarity. The news is changing every minute and we don’t know what tomorrow offers. But we do have the comfort of knowing that God is with us like a powerful giant. He hasn’t forsaken us. This virus isn’t bigger than God. Governments’ aren’t bigger than God. When you have Jesus, you have it all. You’re in the best hands.
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. – John 10:28
I wanted to use this post to share my joy today with you. I know these can be scary and uncertain times. But don’t fear. God is still in control. No matter how bad this gets, remember that His promises are faithful. Men can fail you, but God will never fail you. If this gets worse, remember that God is still with you. And if things do get better, which I hope they will, don’t forget that God kept you safe throughout the entire process.
