Good morning. I find myself reflecting on everything that’s going on around us and it’s chaotic. The Coronavirus outbreak is still impacting our daily lives. The concern of government increasing in scope and power as they try and contain this outbreak is worrisome. Unemployment numbers continue to soar and America’s economy is breaking down. But in the midst of all this chaos we can find hope in Jesus.

I’m always astonished at the meeting between Pontius Pilate and Jesus. Pilate is interrogating Jesus and asks Him the question, “What is truth?” Little did he know that He was looking at truth personified.

Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all. – John 18:38

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. – John 14:6

Jesus is our hope in these times and in all times. There’s a lot of confusion and uncertainty in today’s world. Fear and panic is running rampant. People long for peace and refuge. Only Jesus can provide that. Money can only go so far. Food and supplies can only go so far. The only one that can satisfy our souls is Jesus.

I want to encourage you to seek Jesus today. This isn’t a religion or a set of rules that you must obey unwillingly. No, God wants you to come to Him willingly. Once you realize how much God loves you, your natural reaction will be to love and obey Him. But first comes the realization of what Jesus did for you and me on the cross more than 2,000 years ago.

The world around us is changing at a rapid pace. The good news, however, is that God doesn’t change. The Bible says that He is the same today, yesterday, and forever. When the storms are raging and uncertainty clouds our vision, we can run to Christ for refuge. Only Jesus can give us peace and a living hope in times of uncertainty and despair.
