What’s going on everyone? I want to start off by thanking all of you who take time to read my blogs. Thank you for visiting Revival in Christ. My hope is that this website can be a beacon of light for those in need. I want God to impact lives through my content. Even if it’s one soul, I’ll be grateful. A new month has arrived; August, and I’m hopeful and excited to make this a great month. I want to share my plans and hope for August.

Revival in Christ started as a thought that God put in my heart. I remember back in 2013 when I was first seeking God. I looked around and noticed how everyone was using social media to spread messages. I thought to myself, “Why can’t I use it to do something for God?” Hence, the name Revival in Christ came to mind and it all started with a Facebook page. If I hadn’t been distracted, I’m certain I could have seen more growth since then. But, I can’t redo the past, so I have to start today.

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. – 2 Corinthians 5:17

I’m hopeful for August because I want this to be a new start. I want to be more active than I have been all year. I want to post more content while getting closer to God. No matter how much content I publish, I know that without God, it’ll be in vain. That’s why I understand that first and foremost I have to strengthen my relationship with God. I encourage all of us to look at August 1st as an opportunity to start over. Even if it’s past the first, today can be your new start.

God has called us for great things. All of us have value even if others say we don’t. When the Bible says that the Creator of heaven and earth knew us before we were born, that’s value. I want to mark August 1st as a new beginning. No matter how sinful we feel, God is still willing to forgive us. The Bible says that His desire is for everyone to repent and be saved.

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. – 2 Peter 3:9

The most important thing in life is to know God. This month is a new opportunity to focus on just that. I know we all share political opinions but at the end of the day, the only thing that matters is where we stand with God. One day our bodies will reach their end and we’ll be faced with the reality of eternity. Where do we want to spend eternity; in heaven or in hell? God gives us the opportunity to spend eternity with Him in heaven. Our first priority should be our spiritual well being.

I want us to all be encouraged today to renew our interest in God. Today is a good day to start over. Maybe you’ve been careless with your relationship with God. But the Bible says that His mercy is new every morning. Today, God’s grace and mercy gives us the opportunity to start over. We can repent right now, wherever we are, and ask God to come into our hearts. His Holy Spirit will lead us to all truth and righteousness.

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. – John 16:13
